This place is a dream place for a beer person or wine person. The Owner is. Very friendly an is place is set up like a smoke shop.. but minus the cigars an just had beer an wine.. but I give u 5 stars an I will definitely will be back with friends
I love this establishment. Such a warm, intimate setting with seating on the main level, as well as a cozy second level. There's also a lower level available for use. You can purchase and go. You can sit and enjoy a bottle of your choosing or purchase a taste from the menu. It's up to you. This fine establishment is also available for private parties. Bring your own food and eat/drink the night away, responsibly. Juice @1340 is the place to be for a moment of Chill.
The only disappointing thing about Juice is that I had to leave. Everything about our experience there was exemplary. Tim was insightful and engaging. The drinks were perfection and well curated. Every bottle of wine and liquor had a purpose on the menu. The decor was simple and inviting. This is one of the smartest, cleanest bars I've ever attended. I can not wait to share with everyone I know. And not to mention this is black owned and women owned! 10 out of 10. Thank you, Tim.
Every bar should take note of how Juice @ 1340 is doing it.
Awesome place to go and learn about wine! I’ve found a few new favorites through Cody’s recommendations, and have made it my wine shop of choice! Tastings on Thursdays are fun too, so if you haven’t been I’d check it out. I’ve had many great conversations here and look forward to many more.
Seems like a solid neighborhood wine shop and if I lived in the West Loop, this would be my local spot. Friendly staff and though the selection was very limited, it was at least diverse, decently curated, and interesting. They also appear to have a tasting bar. In the larger Chicago area there are other wine shops with vastly larger selections and much better prices so in summary, if you live nearby, this should be your local shop. If you are traveling more than a mile to get here, you are doing it wrong.
Hosted a bridal shower there and the atmosphere was awesome. Cody and Derrick did an awesome job. They were very flexible in allowing us to move furniture and decorate. My guests were amazed at the atmosphere and cool vibes. This is a wonderful place to host your events. I recommend them for your next event.
One of my neighborhood favorites! Really cute patio in the back to hang out on a nice summer day, and they have free wine tastings every Thursday! And not the crappy kind with one bottle of wine and plastic cups, they always have 2 distributors each with several bottles to taste, actual wine glasses, snacks and music. VERY dog friendly! The owners are always there and are extremely welcoming and helpful.
The Thursday happy hour was fantastic! The owners were extremely friendly, the distributor providing and serving the wines was knowledgeable, and the company and vibe of the event was great – I especially enjoyed the live music and the abundance of dogs (and dog photos).
They even had St. Bernardus in stock.
Overall, feels like a great addition to the neighborhood.
They hosted my wedding reception and were nothing short of amazing! We were completely taken cared of as far as organization goes. They set up our buffet, our flowers, our cake and even provided a cake knife (which we completely forgot). They had so many wines to choose from and were all very friendly. If you need a place for an event or just buy a bottle of wine, these are the hosts you are looking for.
